SECOND POST - THE OTHER PROJECT + BRIEF THOUGHTS ON WEBTOON

Hot off the heels of the first post, let me immediately show you my other project. I have deliberated on making a Webtoon for years, but finally I am going to try my hand at creating one. It's going to be a meta sort of comic about a guy who decides to make Webcomics and his journey to success... which is totally not what I am trying to do, ha ha. Tentative title is Webcomic World. 

5 pages have been complete so far, which actually makes for a decent intro and sneak peek to what the comic might be about!






Yeah, I may be tackling Artificial Intelligence and Robots in Art for a first chapter... A hot button topic in the past few years. I hope you like whatever thoughts I have to share with you through this WebToon. 

Speaking of that platform...

WebToon is the most popular platform for webcomics right now. At the same time it's a huge downgrade to how comics are normally drawn. Part of my deliberation came from struggling to draw a vertical, infinite scroll type of comic. It's weird, what else can I say? Plus, looking at what gets the most traction on WebToon, I kind of doubt that my comic will get the eyes I personally think it deserves. That's part of why I felt discouraged from trying to make something on WebToon, when their algorithm  may prefer just pushing 10 other romantasy comics to readers.

But you know what they say, you miss every shot you don't make. Hopefully this shot hits the bullseye.
